Fulfillment status reference

A fulfillment order carries two independent states, plus a lifecycle. This page maps all of them.

Status — the fulfillment's own progress

Open → Partially shipped → Closed. Status tracks how much of the fulfillment order has actually shipped, regardless of any provider.

Request Status — the provider round-trip

The state of the request to the fulfillment provider (carrier / 3PL) — whether the order has been dispatched to them:

Request StatusMeaning
UnsubmittedNever sent to a provider. Historical backfilled orders usually show this — they were fulfilled before the dispatch flow existed.
SubmittingThe hand-off request is in flight.
Submitted / AcceptedHanded to the provider (and, for Accepted, confirmed by them).
RejectedThe provider refused the request — the order lands in Needs attention.
Cancellation Requested / Cancellation RejectedA cancellation is with the provider / was refused.

Bulk cancellation only touches never-submitted or provider-rejected orders (releasing their reserved inventory); submitted, shipped, or terminal orders are skipped.
