Export customers

Exporting gives you the whole customer book as a spreadsheet — for a report, a mailing list, or a bulk edit you'll re-import.

Steps

  1. Go to Contacts → Customers.
  2. Optionally filter the list first — the export honors your current view, and ticking rows with Selected Only narrows it further.
  3. Click Export (top right). The file downloads immediately (for example customers-2026-07-17.csv) and a toast confirms Export completed.

What the file contains

  • Identity — ID, Name, Company Name, Email, Origin, Sales Channel, Created At, Updated At.
  • Default address — label, phone, fax, city, state/province (+code), zip, country (+code).
  • Billing and shipping addresses — the same block per address, prefixed Billing / Shipping.
  • Default settings — Default Warehouse (+ID), Default Pricing Tier, Default Sales Rep, Default Store, and the domestic and international shipping methods.

The export → edit → re-import loop

The file's ID, Name, and Email columns are the importer's match keys, so you can edit the export in a spreadsheet and re-import it: rows keep their ID and update the same customers rather than creating duplicates. Columns the import mapper doesn't list (like the billing/shipping blocks and default settings) are export-only — they're informational and won't map back.

Need your customer book as a spreadsheet? Click Export. The file downloads with contacts, addresses, and default settings. Edit it and re-import — rows keep their IDs, so customers update instead of duplicating.
